• Gonculator Geeked-out Math-Metal for the masses!

• NeWMaN - Slightly Phishy, somewhat G. Lovey rock trio extraordinaire

• Astronaut Down Ed's other band, wherein he lets fly with the prog-rock influences.

• Sweatshop Boys - Punker than punk.

• Edge of Jupiter When a band has a percussionist, and that percussionist has a didgeridoo, you know it's GOT to be good.

Venues we've Smocked who also have web pages:

• Java Junction At least half of Smock attends their weekly open mic, every Thursday at 8(ish).
• Steel Music Hall We played there once.

Studios we've graced with our presence:

• Jolex Recording Cheap, quality, knowledgeable, no-nonsense cheap recording for cheap. And they're inexpensive too!
• Dynamic Recording Yes, we recorded here. But the best thing we can say about that experience is that there was a Carbone's Pizzeria across the street.

Bands we can collectively agree on:

• Ben Folds Five Dan can tell you, we wouldn't be a band without the existence of these guys.
• Soundgarden The old band of that guy from Audioslave.
• Weezer But we liked 'em back in the DAY!

Comics:

• Calvin and Hobbes It's the inspiration for our name, and just hands down the best comic strip of all time, period.
• Red Meat Personally, I'm a vegetarian, but there's really very little actual meat involved.
• Dinosaur Comics This may or may not hold the record for most consecutive uses of identical comic art.
